Turkey was the third most miserable country in the world in 2025. Will it attack Israel?

ECONOMIC MISERY

Taking inflation rate and unemployment rate together, and ranking them, Turkey is the third most miserable country in the world.

It is behind Venezuela and Sudan. And a little more miserable than Iran, although these figures are from 2025. They have probably swapped places now in 2026.

They have ramped up their rhetoric against Israel. Often it is the case that creating conflicts abroad is a useful distraction for failing regimes.

If Turkey did start attacking Israel militarily, that would create an interesting scenario. Israel would of course attack back. As it would have every right to do so. However Turkey is a member of NATO, and that pact has as a central obligation, that if one member is attacked, the other members are obliged to assist.

It would give the perfect excuse for the Israel-haters in the UK Government to attack Israel. In support of Turkey.

The USA under Trump is a staunch ally of Israel. They would almost certainly not rise to the defence of Turkey. De facto this would expel Turkey from NATO, although the UK would probably persist. It being a perfect excuse to harm Israel. Why? So that the UK Labour government could gain back the Muslim votes that it lost while Keir Starmer was Prime Minister. A lost cause in my opinion, but that would not stop them trying.

And a further consequence would be that the USA would see the UK as no longer trustworthy, and would cease supplying Trident nuclear missiles to the UK.

WHEN WILL THE UK ATTACK ISRAEL?

The UK is already attacking Israel via its foreign policies. Notably by recognising a state of Palestine, and opening a Palestinian embassy in London.

I mean - when will the UK militarily attack Israel?

The UK is becoming increasingly Islamic. If the current demographic trend continues then it is likely to have a Muslim majority some time around the year 2070. That figure is not randomly plucked from the air. It is based on a spreadsheet calculation of successive census results. Identifying the growth rate per decade of the Muslim population in the UK and the decline rate of the non-Muslim population. From those figures then calculating a compound growth curve and a compound decline curve respectively. And then calculating the overall percentages.

The UK is likely to have an Islamic government, or heavily controlled by Islam well before that date.

And the successor to the Trident nuclear missile system is likely to be in service well into the 2070s.

Thus we can expect an overlap period, I estimate in the date range 2050 - 2070 in which the UK government will have the ideological willingness to attack Israel, as well as the military capability to nuke Israel. Probably towards the start of the date range. The scenario and rationale are described in this book:
