Is there a way to halt it? Maybe...
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Stoning for adultery is an integral part of Sharia law.
The command to stone is in the Hadith not the Koran.
The Koran is of prime importance over the Hadith, which are secondary.
The Koran stipulates half the punishment for a wife who had been a slave than one who had not.
It is not possible to be killed twice, nor to be half killed. Therefore…
The Koran itself de facto commands that stoning for adultery must be abandoned.
If the Koran is the perfect book, then it must be obeyed by Muslims over the Hadith.
In that case, stoning must be removed from Sharia law.
International pressure must be applied to those countries where it is still practiced, to oblige them to abolish it: Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and northern Nigeria primarily, but others too.
Slavery was abolished (at least officially) in Islamic countries due to international pressure. This gives the precedent to put pressure on Islamic countries to abolish stoning for adultery.
Note that Islamic countries will have to put pressure on each other to do this.
The trouble is, that Western nations have lost the moral fibre to do so. They have forgotten that some cultures really are morally superior to others. The Royal Navy spent well over a century suppressing the Arabian slave trade. Today the Royal Navy brings jihadis into the UK who then blow up the citizens of the UK (Manchester Arena bombing). The RNLI and Border Force are busy bringing in potentially hundreds of jihadis via the Channel per day. Increasing the probability of civil war. Professor David Betz has spent decades studying civil war. He points out that the UK is rapidly creating the conditions for such civil war. Conditions created by successive UK governments. (For those who have difficulty with comprehension: pointing out that civil war is likely is not the same as wanting civil war to happen.)
COUNTRIES WHERE STONING IS PRACTICED

United Arab Emirates: Stoning is a potential punishment but has not been legally carried out since a penal code amendment in 2020.
Yemen: Stoning is reportedly used by the Al-Shabaab group.
Even where stoning is a legal possibility, its application can be infrequent and depend on the political and social context. International human rights organizations condemn stoning as torture and a violation of human rights.
THE ORIGIN OF ISLAMIC STONING FOR ADULTERY
Stoning for adultery is mandated in Judaic scripture. It seems to have still been practiced in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. He was able to prevent the stoning of a woman who had been caught in adultery, as described in the New Testament. (No mention of the man involved.)
By the time of Mohammed 6 centuries later, Judaism had abandoned the practice. Instead the perpetrators were publicly humiliated, and paraded through the town as their punishment.
Mohammed noticed that the Jews of Medina, who he encountered, were no longer practicing the stoning. Part of the reason why Mohammed hated the Jews of Medina so much was because they had deliberately disobeyed the commands of God (in this case, the command to stone adulterers). And Mohammed was able to prove that they had done so, by quoting from Judaic scripture. And that they had lied about the contents of their own scripture.
The hatred of Jews by Muslims is still ongoing today, and shows no sign of ending. If it could be proven to Muslims today that stoning should be abandoned, then that would be a small step towards undoing the hatred of Jews by Muslims. Hopefully anyway.
The first man and woman to be stoned to death for adultery, under the command of Mohammed, were Jewish. Not Muslim. As described in the Hadith. Quote:
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
A Jew and a Jewess were brought to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) on a charge of committing an illegal sexual intercourse. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked them. "What is the legal punishment (for this sin) in your Book (Torah)?" They replied, "Our priests have innovated the punishment of blackening the faces with charcoal and Tajbiya." `Abdullah bin Salam said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), tell them to bring the Torah." The Torah was brought, and then one of the Jews put his hand over the Divine Verse of the Rajam (stoning to death) and started reading what preceded and what followed it. On that, Ibn Salam said to the Jew, "Lift up your hand." Behold! The Divine Verse of the Rajam was under his hand. So Allah's Apostle ordered that the two (sinners) be stoned to death, and so they were stoned. Ibn `Umar added: So both of them were stoned at the Balat and I saw the Jew sheltering the Jewess.

STONING FOR ADULTERY IS NOT IN THE KORAN
It is reported in Islamic scripture that there once had been the instruction to stone for adultery in the Koran. However, the page on which this was written was eaten by a sheep belonging to Aisha. She was one of the wives of Mohammed. She was married to him when she was 6 years old, and the marriage was consummated when she was 9 years old. And such child marriages are still happening in some Islamic countries today! Islam really is evil. It is no use the predominantly left wing enablers of Islam “useful idiots” denying this fact any more. Those who support paedophilia are monsters too. Whether it is done in the name of religion or not.
Here is an Islamic scripture that claims the stoning for adultery punishment had been in the Koran (the Book), but had later been forgotten:
'Abdullah b. 'Abbas reported that 'Umar b. Khattab sat on the pulpit of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said:
Verily Allah sent Muhammad (ﷺ) with truth and He sent down the Book upon him, and the verse of stoning was included in what was sent down to him. We recited it, retained it in our memory and understood it. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) awarded the punishment of stoning to death (to the married adulterer and adulteress) and, after him, we also awarded the punishment of stoning, I am afraid that with the lapse of time, the people (may forget it) and may say: We do not find the punishment of stoning in the Book of Allah, and thus go astray by abandoning this duty prescribed by Allah. Stoning is a duty laid down in Allah's Book for married men and women who commit adultery when proof is established, or it there is pregnancy, or a confession.

Here is the Hadith describing the verse being eaten by a sheep:
It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
“The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed1, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tame sheep came in and ate it.”
1: These verses were abrogated in recitation but not ruling. Other ahadith establish the number for fosterage to be 5.

THE PUNISHMENT FOR ADULTERY THAT IS IN THE KORAN
The Koran stipulates that adulterous wives must be punished according to their prior status: if they had been a slave prior to the marriage they are to be punished half as much as if they had not been a slave prior to the marriage. Logically it is not possible to be half stoned to death, nor stoned to death twice. Therefore, logically, the Koran is not calling for the punishment to be the death penalty. The phrase “whom your right hands possess” means “slaves”. Quote:
Koran 4:25. And whoso is not able to afford to marry free, believing women, let them marry from the believing maids whom your right hands possess. Allah knoweth best (concerning) your faith. Ye (proceed) one from another; so wed them by permission of their folk, and give unto them their portions in kindness, they being honest, not debauched nor of loose conduct. And if when they are honourably married they commit lewdness they shall incur the half of the punishment (prescribed) for free women (in that case). This is for him among you who feareth to commit sin. But to have patience would be better for you. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
ABROGATION
Abrogation of verses in the Koran is a key concept within Islam. It is not possible to properly understand the Koran, unless it makes clear which verses are abrogated (effectively deleted) and which are the abrogators. Unfortunately, a standard Koran will not tell you, which leads to endless confusions and difficulties. If you are studying Islam, do not waste your time reading a standard Koran, it will just confuse you. Instead read the “Abrogated Koran”. The Koran itself stipulates that the principle of abrogation must be applied, in this verse. Quote:
Koran 2:106 Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is able to do all things?
In other words, the verses to be abrogated, Allah causes to be forgotten. Surely this principle must also apply to the verse regarding stoning for adultery? A sheep ate it, clearly in this context of abrogation, the sheep was performing the will of Allah?
INTERNATIONAL PRESSURE TO BAN STONING FOR ADULTERY
Slavery was banned in Islamic countries as a result of external pressure. They would not have ever unilaterally banned it themselves because they cannot create an enlightened form of Islam. For this simple reason: Mohammed kept slaves and he was supposedly the perfect man, whose behaviour is to be emulated by Muslims - for all time.
It first required slavery to be banned in Christian countries (for Britain that was some 2 centuries ago). And for those countries to be sufficiently robust, morally and militarily, to suppress the slave trade by Islamic countries. The Royal Navy expended considerable time, manpower, and expense in suppressing the Arabian slave trade. It is only relatively recently that such countries have oficially banned slavery. Saudi Arabia and Yemen in 1962, Mauretania in 1981. But even today, black African slaves are on sale in Libya, for around $600. Which is less than half the price that UK residents would pay for a pedigree puppy!
The UK is well on the trajectory for a Muslim majority in the latter half of this century. Pet dogs will likely be banned. And at some future date slavery / dhimmitude will be made legal! It is strange how calm most people are about this prospect.
Today, the Western nations have largely submitted to Islam, in the name of multiculturalism and toleration. The toleration is not reciprocated. The reality is that some cultures really are superior morally to other cultures. By modern standards, Islam is deeply immoral. The number 1 reason why Muslims question their faith, is because they can see for themselves how immoral it is. Mohammed Hijab (a prominent pro-Islam Youtuber) conducted a survey of over 6,000 Muslims. The questioning of imorality within Islam came in at 49%, nearly twice as high as the second most frequent reason. The survey is discussed in this article:

If you search on Youtube for “why I left Islam” you will find many videos by ex-Muslims. Very often their reason for leaving Islam is because of the imorality of it. For example, “Why I left Islam (after preaching it 16 years)”:
Today, “useful idiot” non-Muslims in the UK are protecting Islam from criticism. After every jihad terrorist attack, successive Prime Ministers (Tony Blair, David Cameron, Theresa May, and Boris Johnson) completely denied that these attacks were anything to do with a mythical “true peaceful Islam”. By supporting Islam, they are de facto supporting its evils too, such as stoning for adultery. And Muslim rape gangs etc.
International pressure must be applied, urgently now, upon those Islamic countres which still practice stoning to death for adultery. It may be that Western nations such as the UK, that at one time would robustly suppress the Arabian slave trade, would prefer not to raise this matter internationally. For the sake of not upsetting diversity in the UK. This is morally wrong, and feeble. We know that at least some Labour MPs did not want the Muslim rape gangs widespread operating in the UK from being discussed, as it would upset the Muslim communities.
Given the moral feebleness of the UK now in the face of the evils of Islam, it may be that an indirect approach must be taken: Persuade those Islamic countries that have made stoning for adultery illegal, to persuade the others to abandon it too.
Which countries? Have a look at the map above: Egypt, Morocco, and Turkey would be the most likely. Syria is shown on ths map, but it is probably an old map that does not take into account events in Syria. The Assad regime has been toppled, and replaced by a strict Islamic regime. It soon set about slaughtering non-Muslim minorities, who had largely been protected under Assad. It should be remembered that David Cameron wanted to topple Assad, as he had toppled Gadaffi the leader of Libya. And now blac African slaves are on sale in Libya. Cameron is the self-proclaimed “heir to Blair”. Tony Blair did untold damage in the Middle East too. Based on lies, and the delusion of some mythical “true peaceful Islam”. We have to understand Islam truthfully and accurately and abandon the Blair / Cameron wishful thinking delusions. Urgently. Read the “Abrogated Koran” as a starting point to dispel your own delusions if you have not already.
The West must re-assert its moral superiority over the Islamic world. Standing by and saying nothing about the evils of stoning is to be complicit in it too. Instead, the West is siding with Islam, and against its own non-Muslim citizens: suppressing and throwing into prson those who complain. And siding with Islam to introduce Sharia law officially into the UK (Labour, 2008) and to introduce Sharia Bonds into the City of London (Conservatives 2013). And soon to impose an anti-”Islamophobia” law in the UK (Labour). This would de facto be an anti-blasphemy, but only in support of Islam. Islam is so fragile that it cannot tolerate criticism. Resorting to violence in itself proves that it is fragile, because it cannot defend itself by logical argument alone.
Islam really is evil. We need to say it. And prove it by pointing out that the associated evils such as stoning for adultery are indeed evil.
Time is very rapidly running out to save Western civilisation from its increasing Islamisation. We do have to push back. One key way to push back, right now, is to oppose Islamic evils such as stoning to death for adultery. As Churchill would write: ACTION THIS DAY.

Britain once was very active in promoting good moral values worldwide. The suppression of the Arabian slave trade by the Royal Navy is a good example. Slavery is an integral part of Islam. Islamic nations have eventually made it illegal, but only as a result of international pressure.
Today, several Islamic nations still practice the evil of stoning to death for adultery. Can you please call upon our Government, to put pressure on those nations to finally put an end to it?

It should not be regarded as "Islamophobic" to demand that this cruel Islamic practice must be banned.
