Jacob Rees-Mogg: Will I join Reform?

Former Conservative MP contemplates a political union

He was the Conservative MP for North East Somerset from 2010 to 2024.

I briefly met him several times. He is a true gentleman. I have no personal animosity towards him. I was not a resident in his constituency, although I had friends who were. He was a great constituency MP, and had been active in doing good works in his area - and had done so even before he was elected as the MP. For example, he was very active trying to prevent the closure of the Cadbury’s factory in Keynsham, near Brstol.

I was a member of UKIP. We never did unseat him - he was well liked in his constituency, and UKIP never got close, even with a great candidate.

Even back when UKIP was ascendent a decade ago, he was suggesting a political alliance between UKIP and the Conservatives. The logic was interesting: if there was some arrangement regarding which party would stand a candidate - constituency by constituency, then whoever stands, it is assumed, would take all of the right wing vote.

His argument has not changed, and here in this recent video below he deploys exactly the same argument. Now though, suggesting a Reform - Conservatives political alliance. His assumption is that the polling percentages of the two parties would simply add up. I am not so sure that there would be a simple addition, but concede that a net gain of seats overall would be likely. Given the utter disaster that Labour invariably creates, it is a compelling suggestion. However…

My opinion is that this will not happen, for the same reasons that a UKIP - Conservatives alliance could not happen a decade ago: egos primarily - politics is largely about feelings rather than logic. The Conservatives are feeling badly deflated, and to admit to the logic of an alliance with Reform would be symbolically to stamp on the remnants of an old flaccid balloon. Even if Reform were willing, there are plenty in the Conservative Party who would scupper such a deal. As was the case a decade ago when he proposed the alliance with UKIP. For the Conservatives, a wipeout seems inevitable, without some radical thinking, urgently.

Many Conservative seats were lost in 2024, including his. The Conservatives had broken their repeated promise to get immigration down to a few 10s of thousands, but instead let it rip. To the disgust and dismay of many traditional Conservative voters. The main problem is legal immigration, it is an order of magnitude higher than the illegal. It is the oldest trick: make everyone focus on the relatively small, so they don’t notice the elephant. Unfortunately for the Conservatives, the voters have noticed the elephant now.

The heartless and draconian COVID lockdowns, together with money-grabbing scandals around PPE (face masks etc) supplies, also were significant factors in the defeat. That whole matter was very badly handled. Extremely divisive - setting family members against each other. So much anti-human messaging spewing from the Government propaganda centre. Those who had doubts about the efficacy and safety of the jabs was mercilessly hounded out of their jobs, and smeared with the label: “granny killers”. It seemed, and still does seem unbelievable that a Conservative government would behave in such a way. So much trust has been lost.

In the case of North East Somerset, there was a significant boundary change that did not help the Conservatives. Labour was voted in to that area. That has not gone well for the constituency. I will not dwell on that, as it is a distraction from this article, but look it up for yourself.

WHICH PARTY CAN SAVE THE UK?

I feel that none of the main parties are properly addressing my major concern: how to halt and reverse the Islamisation of the UK. We are facing an existential crisis, due to the rapid demographic change. A non-Muslim child born today is likely to live the latter part of their life under Sharia law, as a subjugated dhimmi. And be put under considerable pressure to convert to Islam. If you don’t know what a dhimmi is, look it up. Islam makes no secret of its desire to subjugate you and your children. It really happens: for example, Lebanon was 80% Christian a century ago, and now it is a disaster. The UK is on that same trajectory now.

This is so extraordinarily serious, yet it is barely mentioned in polite society. Anyone who raises a concern is immediately smeared as “far right”. This taboo against rationally discussing Islam must be broken. With urgency now.

The Islamisation of the UK will affect everyone, whether you are rich or poor, whether you are politically left, right, or agnostic. And it will affect you whether you are a Christian, atheist, Hindu, Sikh, etc. And whether you have white or dark skin. Islam will dominate the UK, within a relatively few decades.

THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND IS BEHAVING SHAMEFULLY

The Conservatives did not reverse the recognition of Sharia courts. They should have done so, as one of their first acts when coming in to office in 2010. Labour had officially recognised them in 2008, with the connivance of Archbishop Rowan Williams.

Utterly shamefully, the Church of England is in full appeasement of Islam mode. I have witnessed it directly myself, during an inter-faith service in Wells Cathedral, in February 2020. I even wrote a book on this appeasement, documenting several aspects that I myself discovered, to my horror and astonishment: “How the Church Enables Islam”. During a seminar two weeks prior to the inter-faith service, the then Chancellor of Wells Cathedral Rob James proudly announced that he prays Islamic prayers alongside Muslims. Presumably facing Mecca, with its idolatrous black stone set into the corner of the Kaaba. But he stated that he only prays the parts he agrees with. I assume he is fluent in Arabic, since the chanting of the Koran verses only has merit with Allah if done in Arabic, not in English or other languages. This praying of Islamic prayers that he takes part in, he describes as “praying with integrity”.

There were around 30 people who attended the seminar, in a meeting room at the cathedral. The Chancellor had distributed a document to attendees prior to the seminar. That document urges Christians to pray alongside Muslims, which it describes as “Praying with one voice”.

What is the problem? You might ask. And a good question. Here is the problem: by praying Islamic prayers that de facto acknowledges them to be valid. And if it is quoting from the Koran, which very likely will be the case, it is to endorse the Koran as valid, and hence to endorse Mohammed as a genuine prophet.

Jesus showed us how to recognise false prophets: by their fruits. The fruits of Mohammed are utterly rotten.

Wells Cathedral clergy have endorsed the Koran, by permitting it to be preached as part of the inter-faith service. The Koran itself calls for the execution of Christians. (Koran 9:5 very clearly calls for the killing of “polytheists”. Islam regards Christians as polytheists.) Thus the Wells clergy have endorsed the execution of Christians.)

Jesus might say: “forgive them, because they don’t know what they are doing”. In the case of Wells clergy they damn well knew what they were doing. In the two weeks prior to the inter-faith service, I and three concerned friends were emailing and phoning the clergy, to try to persuade them not to go ahead with the service. They completely ignored our concerns, and went ahead anyway. Jesus will surely disown them, when the time comes. Unless they make every effort to reverse their error.

Permitting the preaching of religions on church premises that are contrary to Christian doctrine is contrary to Canon Law. How the Wells clergy imagine that this law does not apply to them, is also a mystery.

KING CHARLES IS BEHAVING SHAMEFULLY

King Charles repeatedly supports Islam.

Is he a Christian? I seriously doubt that he can be. I seriously doubt that the clergy of Wells Cathedral can be either - they are in full appeasement of Islam mode too. And they have blatantly broken Canon Law, by permitting Islamic doctrine to be preached within the cathedral. It is a breach of that law to permit the preaching of any doctrine that contradicts Christian teachings. Which Islam very evidently does. The Koran indeed commands the murder of Christians.

No Christian who has read the Bible and believes it, can be a supporter of Islam. Jesus made that clear. St Paul made that clear, and they did so well before Islam came into existence.

Jesus explained that we can recognise the false prophets by their fruits. The fruits of Mohammed are rotten: violence, hatred, murder, all done in the name of Allah.

Matthew 15-20:

¹⁵ “Be on your guard against false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravaging wolves. ¹⁶ You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles? ¹⁷ In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit. ¹⁸ A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit. ¹⁹ Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. ²⁰ So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.

Allah is not the same as the God of the New Testament. They cannot be the same. They have very different origins. Allah was but one of the very numerous gods worshipped in the Kaaba in Mecca. And then Mohammed abolished all the other gods. Although temporarily permitting three goddesses as intercessors. And then abolishing them too at a later date.

Saint Paul made it very clear that Christians must not eat meat that has been sacrificed to false gods. Islam is an idolatrous religion: Muslims pray facing the black stone, set into the corner of the Kaaba. There is an Islamic belief that it was once a white stone, that has turned black over the years, as it absorbed the sins of the pilgrims who touched it.

Saint Paul explained that it is not that the meat in itself is physically harmful. But by eating it, Christians are thereby giving credence to the false gods. Allah is clearly a false god for Christians.

1 Corinthians 8:

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. ² Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. ³ But whoever loves God is known by God.^[a]

⁴ So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” ⁵ For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), ⁶ yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

⁷ But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. ⁸ But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

⁹ Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. ¹⁰ For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? ¹¹ So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. ¹² When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. ¹³ Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.

Not only does King Charles promote Islam, contrary to the clear teachings of Jesus, his own Duchy Originals company produces meat that has been sacrificed to the false god Allah. Contrary to the teachings of Saint Paul. Duchy Originals meat is Halal certified. Whether it is pre-stunned or not, Christians must not eat it.

Nobody should be eating Halal anyway. There is the pre-stunning requirement in non-religious abattoirs. They would be breaking animal cruelty law if they did not apply pre-stunning. Religious abattoirs have exemption from this law.

Two types of stunning exist: stun to stun, and stun to kill. The latter is the type that the British Veterinary Association and the RSPCA approve. Unfortunately it is contrary to Halal practice. Even if Halal sometimes uses stunning, it is the inadequate stun to stun type. Halal requires that the animal can hear the Islamic prayers while being killed, which is not possible using the more humane type of stunning.

In addition, the Halal certification authority, like every Islamic business, must donate a portion of profits to Islamic charity. The Koran forbids Muslims from helping non-Muslims, so that applies to Islamic charities too. Far more concerning is that a proportion is “for the cause of Allah”. Since the Koran commands, in numerous verses “fighting for the cause of Allah”, King Charles is supporting jihad terrorism. He might not think he is doing so, but he is clearly very naive.

You can easily prove that his knowledge of Islam is poor: he repeatedly claims that the month of Ramadan is a sacred month. There are indeed 4 sacred months in the Islamic calendar, and Ramadan is not one of them.

If you are a Christian, please write to King Charles, explaining these points. I have tried. And been ignored. If thousands or millions would write, could he ignore such a large number?

The Koran, chapter 9 verse 5 commands the murder of non-Muslims “when the sacred months are over”. What are the sacred months? Well, contrary to the statements of King Charles, they do not include Ramadan.

We can prove, with demonstrable facts, that jihadis take note of Koran 9:5, by examining the dates of jihad attacks. If we exclude those that are otherwise date restricted, of those that have freedom to choose a date, ALL of the jihad attacks occur in non-sacred months. Clearly that verse is being heeded. And it makes logical sense: a jihadi is doing the will of Allah. If they ignore the date restriction, how can they be sure that they will go to paradise? See this article for details:

BLATANT LIES

In 2013 Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron blatantly lied to the public regarding Islam. A British soldier, Fusilier Lee Rigby was murdered in broad daylight in London by two converts to Islam. They saw it as their sacred duty to fight against British soldiers. And if you read the Koran, you will understand exactly their reasoning: British soldiers are “making mischief in the land”, in Islamic countries. And the Koran commands the death penalty for such mischief makers. I do not condone their terrorist actions, I am simply describing what Islamic scripture demands. See ths video by David Wood for a thorough examination of the reality of Islamic jihad attacks. This reality that Prime Minister Cameron deceitfully denied, despite the abundant evidence that is freely available in the public domain:

Because of the blatant lies about Islam by successive Conservative Prime Ministers (David Cameron, Theresa May, and Boris Johnson), who shielded it after every jihadi terrorist attack, from the criticism that it justly deserves, I have not voted for the Conservatives since 2010. Having habitually voted for them until then. I do not vote for blatant liars. As far as I am aware, no Conservative MP corrected the theological errors of these three Conservative Prime Ministers. And so they have all tacitly consented to the deceit of the British public regarding Islam. This is extremely serious. Just let this fact sink in for a few minutes. Contemplate the implications…

Can you begin to see why so many voters feel utterly betrayed by the Conservatives? The Conservatives have incinerated the birthright of every voter, and the birthrights of their children for all future generations. Has the seriousness of the betrayal sunk in yet?

However… if the Conservatives could reject deceit, and instead start to be factually honest and accurate about Islam, and stop pandering to it with their blatant and repeated lies, then they could very readily regain the ground they have lost to Reform.

For this simple reason: Reform is pandering to Islam. Reform is in denial. Reform is partially funded by wealthy Muslim donors. Reform expels their members who publicly criticise Islam itself.

The Conservatives would have to publicly acknowledge their complicity and connivance with the Islamisation of the UK, and deeply and sincerely apologise for this grave error. And make a permanent commitment to halt and reverse it. Time is very rapidly running out now. There is time, but barely enough. The “point of no return” has been calculated as around 2035 - 2040. The point at which a Muslim majority is expected, around 2070, is largely irrelevant. It would be impossible to reverse it at that point.

The public is becoming increasingly well informed regarding Islam and its horrors. The wide publicity regarding the Muslim rape gangs in recent months have opened many eyes to the stark reality. No political party that wishes to gain votes, can any longer avoid discussing Islam and its associated evils. See my article:

I was having grave doubts about Nigel Farage and his seeming lack of willingness to address Islam itself. However, his simple one word answer might just be signalling a change of stance. I hope so. During his recent appearance as a witness before the US Congress, he was asked about Islam by Congressman Charles Roy:

CONGRESSMAN ROY: “Is Sharia law consistent with western values?”

FARAGE: “No.”

Maybe we will start to see a bidding war between Reform and the Conservatives on the matter of Islam. To try to out-compete each other, by speaking honestly and accurately about it. If so, every member of Reform and every member of the Conservative Party must rapidly and accurately get up to speed on the real facts regarding Islam. No more rose tinted spectacles. No more naive wishful thinking. No more refusal to acknowledge that Islamism (political Islam) is an integral part of Islam overall, and is not a separate entity. No more repetition of the Blairite lie of a “true peaceful Islam”. The public is alert to these lies now. Any party that repeats them now, will lose votes.

Real truthful facts only are mandated now. If they are serious, then all Reform and all Conservative Party members must obtain a copy of the slim book: “Concise Islam”, and then read it! WHAT DOES FARAGE SAY ABOUT ISLAM?

Anyone who is contemplating joining Reform, or who has already joined, needs to be aware of what Nigel Farage thinks about Islam.

I am extremely grateful that he campaingned for many long years to get us out of the EU. I played a small part in that campaign too: delivering thousands of leaflets in the run up to the EU referendum in 2016.

What I don’t understand about Farage: What was the point of getting us out of the clutches of Brussels, only to then give it all away to Islam? We might as well not have bothered.

I do not dislike Farage. I am not writing this out of any personal animosity. I greatly admire his achievements. I just feel baffled by his stance on Islam.

Reform UK has a number of wealthy Muslim donors (who previously donated to the Conservative Party), and a prominent Muslim, who seems to be in line for the leadership role at some point in the future.

Any member of Reform who publicly criticises Islam, is rapidly expelled.

Farage has publicly stated that it is immoral to oppose Islam. He is wrong. It is immoral to NOT oppose Islam. Islam is very clearly evil, and we must oppose evil.

Is Farage in the process of changing his stance on Islam? I hope so. He recently appeared before the US Congress. He was asked a direct question by Congressman Charles Roy:

FARAGE: No.
