Email to Bishops: enhancing the conversion rate of Muslims
Helping them to leave Islam is an act of kindness
EMAIL
Dear Bishop,
The greatest kindness we can do for a Muslim is to help them to leave Islam.
I came across an interesting and relevant opinion poll of 6,300 Muslims. The implication of this poll is that traditional attempts to convert Muslims to Christianity have been far less effective or efficient than they could have been. This new approach offers a potential seven-fold increase in effectiveness! A numerical multiplication by 7 times.
THE POLL
The online poll was conducted by a Muslim, Mohammed Hijab. In the form of a question, and 4 optional answers.
“If you are a Muslim, what causes you to doubt your religion the most from the following options:”
(I have re-arranged the results, by significance.)
Moral arguments against Islam. Result: 49%
Weakness of the Islamic “civilisation”. Result: 24%
Scientific arguments by Atheist apologists (e.g. Darwinism). Result: 20%
Arguments for the truth of another religion. Result: 7%
The numbers responding, 6,300 gives this a good statistical significance. It is probably fairly representative of the Muslim population overall.
SUGGESTED IMPROVED OUTREACH APPROACH:
Rather than attempting to convert Muslims directly to Christianity in one phase, the survey results suggest a two phased task should be applied, to greatly boost overall effectiveness:
Phase 1: just focus on the moral bankruptcy of Islam. In this phase, the aim is to persuade the Muslim to leave Islam. Nothing else. Don’t try to advocate for Jesus or engage in theological arguments about whether Jesus is divine or not. At this phase, this is likely to be entirely counterproductive. If you read the Koran, you will see that it has strong defences against any such arguments. All you would do is to trigger those defence mechanisms, and you very probably will achieve little or nothing. According to the survery results, you will be 7 TIMES (i.e. 49% divided by 7%) more likely to persuade a Muslim to leave Islam by highlighting its numerous immoral aspects, than to try to persuade them regarding the superiority of Christian theology. Or probably any other theology, such as Judaism, Hinduism etc.
Phase 2: Only once the Muslim has definitely left Islam, due to disgust regarding its immorality, can you very gradually introduce Christian theology. (Or another theology - Judaism, Hinduism etc). However, that they have left Islam will be the major achievement in itself. You will at that point be morally obligated to help them with their practical difficulties: they will have been ostracised from their relatives. They probably will be receiving death threats from Muslims. And very probably will be homeless too. Do you have the resources to cope with all of this?
There are a number of prominent ex-Muslims. Ayaan Hirsi Ali left Islam due to its immorality. The atheist community was very encouraging and supportive of her during her time of need. Only many years later did she become a Christian.
I do ask that you try my suggested apporach seriously. As a “scientific experiment”: allocate some of your parishes to the conventional, traditional approach, and some to the new approach. Then after a while, see which approach is the most effective.
It may seem counter-intuitive, and maybe contrary to your calling, to not even mention Jesus to a Muslim initially. Jesus is of course of core meaning and purpose to you. However, step aside from your own perspective, and see the perspective of the Muslim before you. The two phase apprach will be hard for you too. I am not claiming it will be easy, just that it will be far more effective.
Once you have several missionaries using this new approach, and gaining success, they will have worked out the core of what precisely does work, in the details. Those precise details then need to be rolled out across the entire missionary team. To learn from each other as a continuous and ongoing process.
It should be obvious, but needs stating anyway: your missionary teams must start with a good and accurate understanding of Islam itself. The reality of Islam, not the liberal-minded apologists “true peaceful Islam” fictional version of Islam. This version has been widely publicised by politicans over several decades. It is a blatant lie. Everyone in your missionary teams must have read, as a minimum, chapter 9 of the Koran. And understand abrogation of Koranic verses too. Anybody who cannot see that Islam itself is immoral and evil, should be excluded from the teams. They are themselves confused, and would likely be entirely counterproductive, especially at Phase 1.
Many people have left Islam. Already a quarter of younger Muslims in the West have left Islam. However their journey on that path seems to have been largely haphazard. My suggestion here is that it must become a far more structured, directional, and purposeful approach. Somewhat analogous to teaching a student to fly an aeroplane. There are distinct phases and milestones to be achieved, in a particular sequence. After they gain sufficient competence, they can go flying solo, but with a good confidence that their first flight will be a success. And then the sky is theirs!
With this approach, we should aim for increasing the numbers of ex-Muslims from a quarter of the Muslim population, to three quarters or higher. This is a stretching, but achievable target. Not immediately, but over say 5 years. A far greater self-confidence would thereby be also achieved within the Church more widely. Rather than being forever on the back foot and defensive, a new purpose and relevance would emerge.
The greatest kindness we can do for a Muslim is to help them to leave Islam. It is our duty to greatly enhance our approach and techniques, for their sake. I hope you will implement my suggestions.
BOOK: WHY I LEFT ISLAM
I do suggest that those engaged in the mission to Muslims should have a copy of the book “Why I left Islam: powerful testimonies by former Muslims”. It is a collation of transcripts from numerous discussions with ex-Muslims. In many cases, yes the main reason for leaving is because they could no longer justify the immorality of Islamic teachings.

BOOK: ABROGATED KORAN
This is a prerequisite for every missionary team member. A standard Koran is confusing, as it does not show which verses are abrogated, effectively deleted. This does, showing them crossed out, but still readable. Abrogation is absolutely key to understanding the Koran and hence to understanding Islam itself. The lack of this key information in a standard Koran has led to endless confusion. And almost certainly has resulted in this false concept that a “true peaceful Islam” exists. Which has led so many astray. And indeed has given a false hope to public policy makers, with the evident disastrous consequences.
The Koran must be read with an understanding of Abrogation.
The chronologically more recent verses supersede the older verses, wherever the numerous contradictions exist. The chapters within this Koran have been arranged in reverse chronological order, so that the most relevant ones are read first.
Abrogated verses are crossed out. Those verses promoting Jihad and religious hatred are highlighted.
The Abrogated Koran has 3 characteristics. As far as I am aware, no other existing Koran has all 3 features. Don’t waste your time trying to understand a standard Koran. Knowing which verses are abrogated (effectively deleted) is absolutely key to understanding it. A standard Koran does not indicate which verses are abrogated.
Puts the chapters into reverse chronological order. A standard Koran does not arrange chapters into any logical order.
Abrogated verses are shown crossed out. The abrogating verse number is indicated.
Verses are colour coded by category. At a glance the verses relating to unbelievers, jihad, Israel, Allah, scientific absurdities etc. can be seen.

SENT
For a significant email such as this, I tend to draft it, and then return to it a few times to refine it over the following day or two, before finalising it, and then sending it.
It was sent on 21st January 2026.
Sent to all Anglican bishops in:
UK and Ireland (126 of them)
USA Episcopal (105 of them)
REPLIES RECEIVED
There have not (yet) been any replies received.
My previous email to all these bishops, regarding Islam, resulted in no replies from bishops themselves other than one stroppy reply telling me not to send him any more emails (which of course I have disregarded). There were numerous automated replies of acknowledgement, so they were getting through the email system. But no actual replies, which is quite rude.
If I do receive any replies to this latest email, of any substance, it will be a miracle in itself!
Well, eiither they are just rude, and do not reply to emails generally. Or maybe more concerningly, that they have been instructed to ignore any emails relating to Islam. I do suspect this latter is the case.

My calling is to do something positive, every day, to push back against the darkness that is surrounding us now. The encircling gloom.
I have written over 20 books, with more coming. See the Book Catalogue article, below. My books are supportive of our freedoms, and are supportive of Israel.
I was fired from my job as an electronics engineer at a UK university. My “crime”: writing a book that criticises Islam. I have subsequently written numerous more books on this topic. I cannot now get another professional job, as I am on the blacklist of Hope not Hate. I have to subsist on low value jobs such as gardening and dog sitting. And selling books too!

😂😂😂😂 They should not even try Judaism, it's way too difficult to convert to Judaism.
We do not encourage proselytizing.
Mosab Hassan Yousef is the point man for conversion of the muhammadians.
He's Messianic and I proclaimed him so when I watched him visit Hebron.
Same vibe when he visited the foundation stone recently excavated at the Temple mount both visits with Yishai Fleischer
Ayaan Hirsi dropped Islam and went atheist for a bit before embracing Christianity, atheist ex-muslims predominate on YouTube, with Armin from atheist Republic being the Iranian exposing the degeneracy of Islamic Iran.
The receptivity to one of their own is eminently greater than anything a Westerner could suggest but YouTube and other venues provide discourse allowing them to break free
